Educated by Tara Westover

Reader’s Panel Review: Growing up in a survivalist family with no formal education, what this lady didn’t suffer! She taught herself to pass exams to gain entry to college and went on to great things within the education system. I’d give this memoir 10 out of 10. A brilliant read.

Tell Me You’re Mine by Elisabeth Noreback

Reader’s Panel Review: A brilliant psychological suspense thriller about three women: Stella, Isabelle and Kerstin. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear to the reader that all three women have emotional challenges and any of them could be lying or possibly dangerous. I loved this book. It was a real page-turner and the author does a brilliant job in letting the reader into the heads of the characters, without revealing too much until the end. My score for this book: Easily 10 out of 10!

The Killing of Butterfly Joe by Rhidian Brook

Reader’s Panel Review: Hilarious, fast-paced story about a Welsh student’s gap year adventures in America. The family he teams up with are completely eccentric. You know it will all end in tears. Couldn’t put it down. 10/10

The Missing Ones by Patricia Gibney

Reader’s Panel Review: Lots of dead bodies in this serial killer thriller. Feisty woman detective needs to solve them, which involves neglecting her family to eat Pot Noodle. Dodgy priests and a horrendous orphanage feature, as well as kidnapping and torture. A well-written book and I did enjoy it. 8 /10
